Attorneys Fees, Resources in the Face of a Disaster, Subchapter V, Consumer Filing Issues and More to Be Discussed at the 46th Paskay Seminar March 29-31 in Tampa

Alexandria, Va.— ABI and Stetson University College of Law will hold the 46th Annual Alexander L. Paskay Memorial Bankruptcy Seminar at the Westin Tampa Waterside in Tampa, Fla., March 29-31. The memorial CLE program honors the lifetime achievements of the late Bankruptcy Judge Alexander L. Paskay. Attendees will hear analysis from some of the leading practitioners and judges on business and consumer case trends. One of the highlighted sessions at this year’s program is the “All Things Attorney Fees” panel, which will present a series of short TED talks and debates on issues arising with respect to attorneys’ fees. Bankruptcy Judge Mindy A. Mora (S.D. Fla.; West Palm Beach, Fla.) will moderate a special luncheon keynote panel with Kay S. Kress of Troutman Pepper Hamilton Sanders LLP (Southfield, Mich.) and Robert S. ‘Steve’ Miller of Purdue Pharma (Troy, Mich.) discussing third-party releases. Attendees have the opportunity to earn up to 12.5 hours of CLE credit, including 1.25 hours of ethics. Judicial co-chairs for the conference are Bankruptcy Judges Roberta A. Colton (M.D. Fla.; Tampa) and Mindy A. Mora (S.D. Fla.; West Palm Beach, Fla.), and the conference chair is Lynn Welter Sherman of Trenam Law (St. Petersburg, Fla.).
