Nominations for the 2023 Judge William L. Norton, Jr. Judicial Excellence Award Due by July 17!
ABI and Thomson Reuters are accepting nominations for the 2023 Judge William L. Norton, Jr. Excellence Award. Named for former bankruptcy judge and longtime West author William L. Norton Jr., each year’s award will honor a bankruptcy judge whose career has embodied the same dedication to the insolvency community as did that of the award’s namesake. The award will be presented at the annual meeting of the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges (NCBJ) to a judge who has distinguished himself or herself as an educator, writer, or scholar. Thomson Reuters will present a commemorative plaque to the recipient and will also donate $5,000 to the ABI Endowment for Education. This donation will be used by the ABI and NCBJ toward joint projects to foster bankruptcy education and research. Nominations are due by July 17.
