Jennifer McLemore of Williams Mullen Named ABI Vice President-Communications & Information Technology
The American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI) announces that Jennifer McLemore of Williams Mullen (Richmond, Va.) has been named to a two-year term as ABI Vice President-Communications & Information Technology. An ABI member since 2004, McLemore has been a member of ABI’s Board of Directors, co-chaired ABI’s Unsecured Trade Creditors Committee, and was a member of ABI’s “40 Under 40” Steering Committee, a member of the advisory board for ABI’s Southeast Bankruptcy Workshop and a frequent speaker at ABI events.
McLemore is a partner in the Financial Services & Real Estate Section at Williams Mullen in Richmond, Va., where she advises commercial creditors, business creditors, banks and credit unions in bankruptcy and bankruptcy litigation matters. She frequently represents clients in matters involving debtor-in-possession financing arrangements and asset-identification and recovery matters. McLemore also represents clients in bankruptcy litigation situations involving avoidance actions, claim-objection disputes and discharge/dischargeability claims. She is listed in The Best Lawyers in America for Bankruptcy & Creditor/Debtor Rights/Insolvency & Reorganization Law (2013-present) and in Virginia Super Lawyers for Bankruptcy Law (2014-present), and she has been named among Virginia’s “Legal Elite” by Virginia Business for Bankruptcy/Creditors’ Rights (2011-17). McLemore is a past chair of the International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC). She received her B.A. cum laude from Miami University (Oxford, Ohio) and her J.D. from the University of Richmond School of Law.
