Eve H. Karasik Named First ABI Vice President-Diversity & Inclusion

Alexandria, Va. — The American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI) announces that Eve H. Karasik of Levene Neale Bender Yoo & Brill (Los Angeles) has been named to a two-year term as the first ABI Vice President-Diversity & Inclusion. The position was created this year to reflect ABI’s commitment to implementing diversity and inclusion initiatives as identified by ABI’s Diversity & Inclusion Working Group. An ABI member since 1997, Karasik has served on ABI’s Executive Committee since 2019 and been part of the Board of Directors for several years, co-chaired ABI’s Bankruptcy Battleground West conference, served on the leadership of ABI’s Ethics Committee and is a frequent speaker at ABI events. 

Karasik is a partner at Levene Neale Bender Yoo & Brill in Los Angeles, Calif., where she focuses her national practice on corporate restructuring and bankruptcy, including the representation of chapter 11 debtors, unsecured creditor and equity committees, trustees, secured and unsecured creditors, and parties involved in bankruptcy litigation in cases pending around the country. Karasik is a Fellow in the American College of Bankruptcy and is ranked in Chambers USA as a Band 3 attorney in Bankruptcy and Restructuring. Karasik has been recognized as a “Southern California Super Lawyer” and in The Best Lawyers in America. She received her B.A. in 1985 in history with high honors from the University of California, Berkeley and her J.D. in 1991 from the University of Southern California, where she was admitted to the Order of the Coif.
