Hurricane Ian Relief

Our hearts and prayers are with the residents of Florida and other regions who have been affected by the flooding and destruction caused by Hurricane Ian. I have been in touch with a few ABI members and friends in the Florida area. The devastation there, as well as the continued effects of the hurricane as it moves up the coast, are hard to imagine.

In times like these, I am always inspired by the stories of individuals across the country pulling together to lend a helping hand — whether it be by volunteering on site, sending food and supplies, providing shelter for displaced residents and their animals, donating blood, or sending much-needed funds to the volunteer organizations that provide direct support for the victims.

I hope that you will join me in supporting the victims of Hurricane Ian in whatever way you can. The state of Florida has a Florida Disaster Fund that you can donate to here or by texting “disaster” to 20222. The Red Cross is also on the ground in affected areas and is seeking funding and encouraging individuals in unaffected areas to donate blood. You can do either or both at the Red Cross's website at redcross.org.

Thank you!
